How to read these pages
The seven headings, what "commonly used" means, and the A-to-D evidence grades.
LISTEN INSTEAD · 5 MIN
Every peptide in this module is written under the same seven headings. That way a peptide with decades of medical use and one with three rat studies get described in the same shape, and you can see the difference instead of having it hidden in the writing.
The seven headings
- What it is. The molecule, where it came from, and what it tells the body to do, in one plain paragraph.
- The evidence, graded. See the grades below.
- How people commonly use it. The doses, routes, timing and lengths that show up in medical trials where they exist, and in community practice where they don't. Approved medical doses are marked as approved. Nothing under this heading is a recommendation for you.
- What people notice. The real experience, including the very common experience of nothing at all.
- Side effects. The usual ones, the rare ones, and the ones that mean stop.
- Interactions. Medications and health conditions where the overlap is real.
- Who stays away from it. Not a medical judgment. The groups for whom the reported downside is worst.
The evidence grades
- A. Approved as a medicine somewhere, with big controlled trials behind it. What it does at the approved dose is known. What it does at other doses, in other people, for other reasons, is not.
- B. Tested in people, but not approved for the thing people buy it for. We know something about safety in humans. The claims usually run ahead of the data.
- C. Tested only in animals or cells. Everything about human use is an educated guess. This is most of the market.
- D. Stories and vendor copy. Nothing here should be called evidence.
WORTH KNOWINGA grade is about the evidence for the popular use, not the peptide itself. Semaglutide is grade A for weight loss and grade C for the anti-aging claims some people make about it. Where one peptide has several uses at different grades, the lesson says which is which.
WATCH OUTDose ranges here are reported, not endorsed. They're included because leaving them out would send you to a forum to find them, which is worse. Several of these peptides change hormones, blood sugar or blood pressure. Module five is the safety material, and it applies to everything in this module.
