TB-500

Tissue repair, inflammation

A synthetic version of a protein your body already makes. Studied for helping cells migrate to injury sites.

In Plain English

Common questions about TB-500

What is TB-500 used for?

Researchers have studied TB-500 for cell migration to injuries, heart tissue repair, reducing inflammation, and more. In plain terms: Your body sends TB-4 to damaged areas naturally. TB-500 is the research version of that repair signal.

Is TB-500 FDA-approved?

No. TB-500 is not approved for human use anywhere. It is sold as a research chemical, which means no manufacturing standard, no batch recall and no one to report a problem to. The only quality control is the buyer's own.

How is TB-500 usually taken?

The commonly reported pattern is under the skin, twice a week, then monthly, for 4 to 6 week load, then maintenance. That describes reported practice from trials and the community. It is not a recommendation for anyone, and several of these compounds interact with common medications.

How strong is the evidence for TB-500?

Grade C on this site's A-to-D scale. C means tested only in animals or cells, so everything about human use is an educated guess. Much of what is sold is the full thymosin beta-4 molecule.

Is TB-500 banned in drug-tested sport?

Yes. TB-500 is on the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list. Anyone who competes in a sport with drug testing, from college athletics to fitness competitions, can fail a test for it.

How long does TB-500 stay in the body?

The half-life, the time for half a dose to leave the body, is about ~2 hours (long tissue retention). A short half-life means it wears off fast and is taken more often; a long one means once a week can be enough. Stored as a dry powder it keeps for months in the fridge; once mixed with water it is used within a few weeks.
